Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Star Groups (“the App”), operated by tu6ge, handles information. It applies to the Star Groups iOS application and related pages on this website.
1. Who we are
Star Groups is a logic puzzle game. The operator and contact person is tu6ge. You can reach us at tu6ge@qq.com.
2. Information we collect
Star Groups does not require you to create an account and does not ask you to submit a name, email address, or profile inside the game.
- On-device game data. Progress, settings, or similar state may be stored locally on your device so the App can work offline and remember your place.
- Support email. If you contact us by email, we receive whatever you choose to include (for example your address, device model, iOS version, and message content) so we can reply.
- Advertising data. The App displays ads, and our advertising provider collects technical and ad-interaction data from your device. Section 3 explains this in detail.
3. Advertising
The App shows ads served through Google AdMob. To deliver, limit, and measure those ads, Google and its advertising partners act as independent controllers of the data they collect and may process:
- Device and advertising identifiers, including Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) when you allow tracking
- IP address, and the approximate location (such as country or region) derived from it
- Device and app details, such as device model, operating system version, language, time zone, and App version
- Ad activity, such as which ads were requested, shown, viewed, or tapped, and diagnostic data about the ad SDK
We never send your support emails, or any name or contact details, to advertising partners. We do not receive your personal profile from Google — only aggregate reports such as impression and revenue totals.
Tracking permission on iOS. Before the App can use the IDFA to personalize ads, iOS asks for your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, the App does not use the IDFA to track you and requests non-personalized ads, which are based on contextual signals rather than a profile of your activity across apps and sites.
Consent in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland. If you use the App in those regions, you first see a Google-certified consent form (Google’s User Messaging Platform) asking whether you agree to personalized advertising and related data use. Personalized ads and any non-essential data use happen only with your consent; if you refuse, you still see ads, but non-personalized ones. You can change your answer at any time through the privacy settings option in the App.
For more on how Google handles this data, see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
4. How we use information
- To provide and improve the puzzle experience on your device
- To show ads, which fund the App, and to see how they perform overall
- To respond to support requests you send us
- To meet legal obligations when required
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your on-device game progress with advertisers. The data described in Section 3 is collected by Google and its advertising partners for advertising purposes.
Depending on where you live, allowing personalized ads may count as a “sale” or as “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. You can opt out by declining the tracking prompt, refusing personalized ads in the consent form, or using the controls in Section 8.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety. Apple may process limited technical data under Apple’s own policies when you download or use apps from the App Store. That processing is governed by Apple, not by this policy.
6. Data retention
Local game data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear it yourself. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request and ordinary records. Advertising data collected by Google is retained under Google’s own retention practices, described in its privacy policy.
7. Children
Star Groups is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is not tagged as child-directed for advertising purposes, and we do not knowingly allow ads to be personalized for users below the age of consent in their region. If you believe a child has sent us personal data by email, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your choices
- Tracking. Turn app tracking off at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, or in the App’s entry under Settings. Ads then become non-personalized.
- Consent. In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, reopen the consent form from the privacy settings option in the App to withdraw or change your consent.
- Google ad personalization. Manage Google’s ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
- Local data. Removing the App clears the game data stored on your device.
- Requests. For questions about privacy, or to request deletion of information you sent by email, write to tu6ge@qq.com.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
